media literacy
The set of activities focused on e-safety played an important role in shaping students’ life skills, preparing them to navigate the digital world responsibly. The brainstorming session on e-safety encouraged students to freely express their ideas and prior knowledge, helping them build confidence, communication skills, and awareness of online risks and appropriate behavior. Celebrating Safer Internet Day reinforced these concepts in an engaging and meaningful way. Students became more conscious of digital citizenship, understanding the importance of protecting personal information, showing respect online, and making safe choices while using technology. The research stage, supported by the “Six Thinking Hats” method, helped students analyze online issues from different perspectives, strengthening their critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Through the “Problems–Solutions” activity, students learned to identify real-life digital challenges and propose practical ways to address them. This process developed responsibility and adaptability, key skills for everyday life. The collaborative “Millionaire” game added a fun, competitive element, reinforcing knowledge while promoting teamwork and quick thinking. Creative activities such as the collaborative comic strip drama and the drama e-book allowed students to express their understanding in imaginative ways. These tasks enhanced creativity, cooperation, and digital literacy, while also improving storytelling and presentation skills. Overall, these activities contributed to the development of responsible, thoughtful, and digitally competent individuals, equipping students with essential life skills for safe and effective participation in the online world.
