Life skills for a healthy lifestyle
The activities focused on healthy eating and nutrition had a meaningful impact on the development of students’ life skills. Through the questionnaire on eating habits, students became more aware of their daily choices and began to reflect on how these habits affect their health. This self-assessment encouraged responsibility and honesty, helping them recognize areas where improvement was needed. During the research stage, students explored information about balanced diets, nutrients, and the importance of healthy lifestyles. This process strengthened their research and critical thinking skills, as they learned to analyze information and distinguish between healthy and unhealthy practices. Working on the collaborative plan for “Healthy Eating Week” further developed teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities, as students had to share ideas and make decisions together. The healthy recipes fair provided a practical and engaging experience, allowing students to apply what they had learned. They practiced creativity, planning, and presentation skills while promoting nutritious food choices. Finally, the common story “The Nutrition Code” encouraged imagination and collaboration, helping students express their understanding in a creative way. Overall, these activities supported the formation of responsible, informed, and cooperative individuals, equipping them with essential life skills for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
